Title: Screen Shot Saturday Aphid Farming
Post by: John on March 04, 2017, 07:54:17 PM
Each week we post a high resolution screenshot to social media. To allow discussion of these we will now also be posting these to the forum.

This screenshot of Aphid Farming was posted on 18th February.

Will there also be green aphids?

And do large groups of aphids attract predators like ladybugs?
If they do, maybe we should be able to seperate them in smaller groups and transport them around the map.

Not sure about green aphids. They'd likely have the same gameplay role anyway, and in this case it's about visibility (green aphids vs green plants makes sense in nature, but is undesirable in a game where you're not trying to trick players visually).

As far as ladybug (or ladybird if you're from the UK) predators go... all I can say is that one of our backers, as part of their reward tier, requested them ;)

This is really cool. Will there be root aphids as well?
(Basically the same model, just whitish-transparent and for underground level parts).

Root aphids are a fun idea. We'll add it to the list of things to consider.
