With the addition of Leafcutter ants will be a new formicarium challenge. Will it feature your home colony fighting another colony? I don't feel like doing more of the wave based attacks will be a good idea, given you've already done as much as you really can with that in the first 2 challenges.

When Funnel Webs despawn, their slow remains. This both slows down my ants, and funnily enough, the wolf spiders, who just slowly scoot across the area there was a web.

In every mission there is a continue button. I think it'd be interesting to have another small mission after that.

1.1: The ants break through into the surface, and fight something; maybe a titan of the undergrowth?

1.2: The ants get to the surface and destroy that slavemaker colony that's been bugging them. Alternatively, one could maybe play as the slavemakers, where they have to steal a certain amount of brood before time runs out or they are overwhelmed by the black ant invaders.

2.1: This actually functions pretty well as an after-mission already. Maybe you get to fight the colony of Rufa who keep sending soldiers your way.

2.2: There are certain ants who block their tunnels when flooding occurs. Maybe a colony has survived down the hill, which blocks access to the sea. Every night the tide rises, but the colony on the low ground just plugs its holes and waits for morning. You'd have to overwhelm them quickly, and keep watching the tide as it can sweep you away while leaving enemy warriors untouched as they swim back to their nest. The enemy colony would regenerate ants when the tide is up, meaning every morning you'd have to try again. Maybe the ants would be the ones in this video?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er-OnJCn1gg

In the earlier stages of the game, you guys planned to base the game around a migrating Formica ereptor colony. Is this still planned, or will the game just focus around the formicarium?

Maybe give workers lots more speed doing pretty much everything! That'd give an incentive to upgrade worker ants.

In the newest dev stream you guys showcased a button that prevents invasion of the nest. Can there be a separate option to allow enemy colony invasion but not critter invasion?

I don't know why I'd use it, but I think it'd be nice to have.

Well, to the right of that is a little thing that looks like a rock, that says, "This will come in a future build."

In 2.1 and 2.2, if you don't dig out of the next does time just stand still?

What happens if you do a formicarium challenge before even digging out of the nest?

1. The rufa on 2.1 can't actually enter your nest. One followed one of my ants all the way to the entrance, then turned around at the entrance. I saw the same ant do this multiple times.

2. There's a dead queen on 2.1. An ominous omen for your colony.

3. At the end of 2.2, if you stay on the level, it stays dusk forever. All that appears is more ladybugs. Really, devs, that's it?

Bugs / Troubleshooting / The Strangest Food Bugs

In my formicarium I have food lying around in the tunnels that can't be picked up and won't go away. The same applies to a devil's coach horse larva on the surface.

Also, on level 2.2 at one point I saw some aphid honeydew floating way above the map. It was about at the level of the top of the tallest plants on the map.

I have 2 suggestions:

1. Leafcutters, as most of us know, grow fungus gardens. To avoid making a separate fungus garden tile just for one game mechanic, what if the leafcutter tile itself also served as a fungus garden? Ants would harvest leaves and place them on the tile, which after a while will turn into some food.

2. The fish have so far played almost no effect on the game. They're flooded after only one day on 2.2, and on the first day you don't have the strength to go down and harvest from them. Hopefully, there will be a fish level where the fish adds to the game a little more.

Why does the fish give you insect bits?
